What will happen?
The Stop Smoking Program consists of two 90 minute sessions, usually spaced 7-10 days apart.
Can you be hypnotised? 95% of the population can be hypnotised and simply that you can log onto a computer, access the internet lets me know that you fall into that 95%.
One session may be possible if you have been hypnotised before, so please contact me to chat through your options.
Session One:
Initially time is spent understanding how you relate to smoking and we will explore your personal reasons behind your habit.
I will guide you into a pleasant and relaxed hypnotic state during which you will remain in control and will be fully aware of everything that is happening.
To take the pressure off and allow your mind to prepare, you don't have to stop smoking between the first and second sessions, but you may find that you so naturally find yourself cutting down or stopping.
Session Two:
I will guide you into a pleasant and comfortable hypnotic state.
We will then spend the entire second session dealing in detail with the specific reasons behind your smoking habit using hypnotherapy and NLP techniques.
You leave as a non-smoker.
How does it work?
Combining Hypnotherapy and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) which are both individually recognised as highly successful ways of changing people's behaviours and perceptions.
One of the reasons why hypnosis and NLP are so effective is because they remove the unconscious triggers which could have kept you smoking and perpetuated the smoking cycle.
In situations where you used to smoke you will feel calm and confident.
Hypnosis is a different state of consciousness which you can naturally enter so that, for therapeutic purposes, beneficial corrections may be given directly to your unconscious mind. In the case of smoking cessation these corrections change your relationship to smoking and activate inner resources when trigger situations / times are encountered.
NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) is the advanced use of language as well as a series of change techniques that also facilitate rapid change.
Why is hypnosis so successful?
Other approaches to stopping smoking rely wholly on will power which can be mentally exhausting because you are battling against your unconscious mind.
Hypnosis boosts your existing will-power and provides you with alternative ways of thinking. With hypnosis there is less to battle with - the desire, the thought will not occur, or occur less frequently, because the triggers that used to prompt you to smoke will no longer have the same effect.
Hypnosis also provides you with new strategies to help you cope with stress on an ongoing basis and ways to overcome exceptional events.
In addition hypnosis can deal with beliefs such as unwarranted fears of weight gain. Hypnosis deals with the full range of anticipated withdrawal symptoms by replacing them with calmness, confidence and control.
NLP provides ongoing tools they can be applied to any aspect of your life - not just smoking. During the session you are taught how to use several of the most effective NLP techniques.
How much will it cost?
Prices for individuals for the The Stop Smoking Program which includes Initial Consultation, 2 separate 90 minute sessions and free backup session (in the rare event that you need it) are £120
Bookings require a £60 deposit at the time of booking and remainder payable at the start of the first session.
What do I do next?
If you want to give up smoking then first congratulate yourself on making that decision. Then contact me. That is all that it takes to stop smoking permanently.
